Power Settings

To avoid screensaver or standby lockout on shared use computers running Windows XP:

1. Click on Start -> Run.
2. Type in powercfg.cpl and click OK.
3. Change Power Scheme to Always On.
4. Click OK.
5. Right click the display and choose Properties.
6. Click on the Screensaver tab.
7. Clear the checkbox for 'Prompt for Password'
8. Click OK.

This will prevent users from having to enter in a username and password as a result of the screensaver activating or the workstation going to standby.
