- Create the Exchange account on the iPhone or iPod as you normally would.
- When the device fails the test, click Save.
- When the device returns you to your email screen, go back into the Email Setup window and edit the properties of the Exchange account.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Exchange account properties and clear the check box for 'Use SSL.'
That's it! This will fix your iPhone sync problem 99% of the time if the issue is SSL.
